The Book of Proverbs says “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”. This proverb is absolutely true. We all need constructive criticism in order to thrive. True friends correct and admonish us when we turn astray. Through their input, we can be made into better and stronger individuals.
Likewise, we need to be challenged in our political views. No one individual or organization has all of the answers. When our viewpoints are challenged, weak spots are revealed. This gives us both the opportunity and the need to refine and improve our positions. The result is a viewpoint that is improved over the previously unchallenged viewpoint.
It is in this spirit that the Pennsylvania Republican Assembly (PARA) is instituting this blog. Though comments may at times be biting, it is the intent of this blog to initiate a dialog that will result in an increased public awareness of key issues and a refinement of our understanding as to what solutions are best for challenges that face our society.
